The club plays outside May to September consisting of internal leagues, competitions, friendly matches against other clubs both home and away and roll up sessions.
The green is available every day from 10.30 am until dusk.
Mondays excepted when play starts at 5.00 pm. This is for green maintenance.
The club has a very active indoor Short Mat program. In the closed season this consist of internal leagues in the morning between 9.15 am to 1.15 pm. Casual rollup’s between 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm in the evening 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm. All sessions are 2 hours.
There are also short mat league matches and friendly matches against other clubs
There are varying restrictions on short mat play during the outdoor season May - September.
The charge for short mat is £1.50p per player per session.
1. The joining fee is £25.00.
2. The annual subscription is £47.00.
3. English Bowls Association registration £7.20
4. A payment of £114.10 18 to 65 years of age or £73.89 if 65 years of age or older. £45.12 under 18 years of age, payable to The Castle Point B. C. (through the club) for a green fee season ticket.
a) Item 1.is a one off cost.
b) Item 2, 3 and 4 payable to play outside bowls.
c) Item 2 payable to play short mat bowls.
Items 1 and 2 are the 2012 charges to join the Club.
Item 4 is the 2015 cost and may be adjusted by the C.P.B.C. for 2016
There is of course the additional cost of personal equipment and clothing.
The dress code out doors is either Grey trousers/skirts and white tops, with a collar (Greys) or all white (whites) as specified on the day. Club ties are worn by the men (in some instances ties are optional).The Short Mat is casual dress unless playing away/at home against other Clubs then greys are worn.
